Fourth dose of HIB Vaccine Reinstated
The fourth dose of HIB vaccine will once again be given at all 18 month well check exams. If your child missed this dose due to the 2 year nationwide shortage, he or she will get it at their next check-up. If your child attends a daycare or has a chronic disease, you do not have to wait until well check. Please come to the office during walk-in clinic hours for the immunization. HIB is a type of meningitis thata has been greatly reduced due to vaccination. The first three doses have been given on schedule during the shortage.
