The entire scope of our practice begins at birth and extends through adolescence. The care provided includes routine well child appointments, immunizations , physical and developmental assessments, and the treatment of acute and chronic childhood illnesses.
Procedures and labwork offered at Johnson County Pediatrics
- Simple laceration repair
- Simple casting and splinting for fractures
- Wart cryotherapy (freezing)
- Ingrown toenail excision
- Treatment for ADHD
- Foreign body removal (nose, ear, etc.)
- Computerized pulmonary function studies
- Nebulizer treatments for asthma , croup and acute wheezing episodes
- Vision screening tests
- Hearing screening tests
- Newborn circumcisions (hospital)
- Newborn care
- Labwork which may include: urinalysis, blood count, anemia screening, glucose (blood sugar) assessment, rapid strep testing and culture, monospot testing, rsv testing and rapid flu testing
Please note: Procedures that are done in our office – for example, but not inclusive, wart removals, ear wax removals, vision tests, flu tests – may not be covered by your insurance as a traditional office visit. The difference in coverage may result in the charges going toward your deductible and families may have out-of-pocket charges. If you have questions about coverage for these procedures please call your insurance company before your appointment.
