Appointments

Office Hours

Monday - Friday 8 am to 5 pm
Saturday - 9 am to 11:30 a.m.
Evening hours by appointment only

We are always available to parents and strive to provide the best possible medical care. Therefore, when the office is closed, one of our physicians is on call 24 hours a day. Please be advised that for life-threatening emergencies, a parent should immediately dial 911. For emergent care after 5 p.m. and before opening the next morning please call our main office number at (913) 384-5500 where you will be directed to our answering service. All other issues, including routine prescription refills and non-threatening medical conditions, are not appropriate after hours.

Patients are seen in our office by scheduled appointment and during our walk-in hours. We encourage you to make well-check appointments as far in advance as possible. Every attempt is made to schedule sick appointments with your primary doctor; however, if your doctor is unavailable, your child may be scheduled with one of our other physicians.

If you are unable to keep a scheduled appointment we appreciate your call as soon as possible to allow for another patient to see the physician. Our providers make every attempt to stay as close to their schedule as possible. If you are more than 20 minutes late for a scheduled appointment we will ask you to reschedule. This allows for the next patient to be seen on time.

Phone calls regarding your child are answered by an all RN/LPN nursing staff. If a nurse is not available at the time of your call, a message will be taken and the nurse will return your call, within one hour if possible. It is also helpful to have your pharmacy number available if a prescription is needed. We also offer our Patient Portal on our home page. Once registered parents can make appointments, pay bills, request a refill or ask a nurse a question. We make every attempt to answer your  question within one hour. It is not available outside of regular business hours.

Walk-In Hours

Johnson County Pediatrics offers walk-in hours for established patients from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 to 4 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.

You may bring in your sick child to be seen without an appointment or phone call during these times. Children are seen on a first-come first-served basis, with the obvious exception of emergent care. Children are seen by the provider who is first available, not necessarily their primary physician. We encourage only established patients with acute illnesses to come in during the walk-in clinic.  Children who only need a follow-up booster immunization or need their routine immunizations because they were not given at a well checkup due to the child's illness may also be seen during these walk-in hours.
